For God So Loved the World, That He Gave His Only Son

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE." ---- This is a popular scripture but one I feel that is most underminded. What I mean is, when I realised just how incredibly lucky we are that God is who He is!  Our creator. Because of Him we exist and our existence is in His hands!  I really had not realised how incredibly lucky we are that God is who He is - the most loving of All!  What if God were any less loving than He is or if He were anyone else?  His love is so endless, even less loving we'd still be in good care; and yet He loves us even more than we can ever imagine. We truly have no idea, even knowing this, the extent of how lucky we really are.  And it's sad how His love is so taken for granted!  I think of how, in general, society concentrates on everything except God; yet how often do most people stop to thank God for who He is and for giving us our very existence? And for forgiving our sins!  And for giving us Eternal Life through His greatest sacrifice for us all: His Son, Jesus our Lord, dying and suffering as we will never know (He bore the sins of all of humanity from Adam and Eve to the future, in addition to the torture He took)... Even if we thanked Him 24/7 it still wouldn't be the least bit enough.  When you really ponder how very lucky we are, it's just mind-boggling.  Just had to share my thoughts.  God bless you all.

God Bless Everyone Who Reads This

(I am posting this because I feel it's something every believer ought to be aware of and I think the way this person handled this situation was wonderful and inspiring.  I do not mean to upset anyone, as it did upset me, but there is scripture reference in it and the wisdom of this one individual who overcame the obstacle.)

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane CountyHigh School , Kingston , Tennessee by school Principal, Jody McLeod


"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country."

Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an alternate life style," and if someone is offended, that's OK.


I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, "safe sex." If someone is offended, that's OK.


I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable" Means of birth control." If someone is offended, no problem...


I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and call it "ecology.."


I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Chris tian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant" and call it "enlightenment.."


However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to Bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.


This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical. 
Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.


Nevertheless , as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.


For this reason, I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time.


" However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM, in the name of JESUS, to Bless this event, please feel free to do so.. As far as I know, that's not against the law--yet."


One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray.


They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer's Box!


The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America- the Seat of "Justice" in the "one nation, under GOD."


Somehow, Kingston , Tennessee Remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom
FROM ReligionPraise GOD that HIS remnant remains!


JESUS said, "If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed of you before MY FATHER.."


If you are not ashamed, pass this on ..

I Love My Attorney

After living what I felt was a 'decent' life, my time on earth came to the end.
The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house.
The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table.
As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor'.
He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me. He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen.
I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, a kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I knew Him.
The corner door opened and there appeared the Judge in full flowing robes.
He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room. I couldn't take my eyes off of Him.
As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, 'Let us begin.'
The prosecutor rose and said, 'My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in hell.'
He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and In the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible perversions that were once in my life, and the more he spoke, the further down in my seat I sank.
I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own Attorney, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about.
As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any form of defense at all.
I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done?
Satan finished with a fury and said, 'This man belongs in hell, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise.'
When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the bench. The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and beckoned Him to come forward.
As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in His full splendor and majesty.
I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior.
He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, 'HI, DAD,' and then He turned to address the court.
'Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And, yes, the wage of sin is death, and this man deserves to be punished.'
Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with outstretched arms and proclaimed, 'However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine.'
My Lord continued with, 'His name is written in the Book of Life, and no one can snatch him from Me. Satan still does not understand yet. This man is not to be given justice, but rather mercy.'
As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said, 'There is nothing else that needs to be done. I've done it all..'
The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The following words bellowed from His lips.....
'This man is free. The penalty for him has already been paid in full. Case dismissed.'

I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, 'Have you ever lost a case?'
Christ lovingly smiled and said, 'Everyone that has come to Me and asked Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, ~Paid In Full.'

Passing this on to anyone you consider a friend, (as I have done here), will bless you both.
'Stop telling God how big your storm is. Instead, tell the storm how big your God is!

Reverence for God

Deuteronomy is the book in the Bible, and like the ones before it (Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers) deals with instructions God gave the people of Israel after He rescued them from slavery in Egypt.  He declared them His people and demanded their respect and worship.  I think it's important today too because how much is God respected in the mainstream of our society now?  How many people truly live for Him?  In the New Testament, Jesus was born and revealed that we are all God's people.  But what does Jesus have to do with the Books of the Old Testament?  John 1:1 (GNT) says "Before the world was created, the Word already existed; He was with God, and He was the same as God.  From the very beginning the Word was with God.  Through Him, God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without Him.  The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to mankind."  Then  John 1:14 (GNT) says, "The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us.  We saw His glory, the glory which He received as the Father's only Son."

Giving Everything Up To God Gives Me Peace

I'm finding that everytime I say to God, "Lord, I give everything to You", I feel such a sense of peace and relief. It's like when I was little and I had any kind of trouble. Who did I run to for help? Mom or Dad. And they would take my trouble away by finding the solution to the problem (like what problem can't be fixed at age 5, right?) But I see it the same way with God as an adult. I give everthing over to Him, my dreams and hopes too! My whole life, health and being. I don't want any of it in any other hands (including mine!) than God's. And everytime I do, I just feel such a sense of peace and resolve afterwards. Like I felt when I gave my troubles or "ouchs!" when I was little to my parents. Similiarly giving my hopes and dreams and everything I have back to God blesses me even more. I want what God wants me to live and give. I just say it is all yours God and He seems to give me more as a result. But I truly want Him to have everything. I only want what He wants me to be and live. That's the only way I feel truly happy as I did as a child. Does anyone else feel this way?

Jesus Explains How He Is Our Shepherd

 1 Jesus said, “It is certainly true that when a man enters the sheep pen, he should use the gate. If he climbs in some other way, he is a robber. He is trying to steal the sheep. 2 But the man who takes care of the sheep enters through the gate. He is the shepherd. 3 The man who guards the gate opens the gate for the shepherd. God Is Love

How Deep Is His Love....

(Happy Valentine's Day) what I've learned from the Bible, is this:   there is no sin so great that could ever keep you from being able to go to God for His love and forgiveness.  He died for ALL sins: past, present and future.  You can always return to Him no matter what.  He welcomes you with open, loving arms.  In fact, He is waiting for you.  He will wait for all Eternity for you, if He has to.  That's how much He loves you.  That's the Glory of God.

Life is much more important than food, and the body much more important than clothes. Look at the crows: they don't plant seeds or gather harvest; they don't have storage rooms or barns; God feeds them! You are worth so much more than birds! Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it? If you can't manage even such a small thing, why worry about the other things? Look how the wild flowers grow: they don't work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that not even King Solomon with all his wealth had clothes as beautiful as one of these flowers. It is God who clothes the wild grass - grass that is here today and gone tomorrow, burned up in the oven. Won't He be all the more sure to clothe you? What little faith you have! So don't be all upset, always concerned about what you will eat and drink. (For the pagans of this world are always concerned about all these things.) Your Father knows that you need these things. Instead, be concerned with His Kingdom, and He will provide you with these things.

My Father has given me all things. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the SON CHOOSES TO REVEAL HIM.

I plan to post daily scripture that leaps out at me when I read it in hopes it will be a source of inspiration and comfort to anyone else who reads them.  God bless you!
