Imagine If You Were There!
"The Bible says the night Jesus was born, God's glorious light surrounded and terrified shepherds guarding their sheep in the fields. Stupefied, they watched and listened as an angel appeared to announce the great event. Then the heavens opened to reveal "a multitude of the heavenly host" - countless angels saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests.' What a sight! What a sound! What an overwhelming, matchless, indescribable experience!"
Author Nan Anderson in the Anchor Devotional, Dec. 13, 2015 -- I highly recommend getting this devotional monthly! It's doing wonders for me.
Can you imagine? What if you were there to experience this? I am just in awe of it! How I wish the world could see this today! This is what we should celebrate! This is what Christmas is about! This is what the Bible says:
Luke 2:8-14 (GNT) "There were some shepherds in that part of the country who were spending the night in the fields, taking care of their flocks. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone over them. They were terribly afraid, but the angel said to them, 'Don't be afraid! I am here with good news for you, which will bring great joy to all the people. This very day in David's town your Savior was born - Christ the Lord! And this is what will prove it to you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.' Suddenly a great army of heaven's angels appeared with the angel, singing praises to God: 'Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom He is pleased!' "

I AM WITH YOU IN ALL THAT YOU DO
"I AM WITH YOU IN ALL THAT YOU DO, even in the most menial task. I am always aware of you, concerned with every detail of your life. Nothing escapes My notice-not even 'the number of hairs on your head'. However, your awareness of My Presence falters and flickers; as a result, your life experience feels fragmented. When your focus is broad enough to include Me in your thoughts, you feel safe and complete. When your perception narrows so that problems or details fill your consciousness, you feel empty and incomplete.
Learn to look steadily at Me in all your moments and all your circumstances. Though the world is unstable and in flux, you can experience continuity through your uninterrupted awareness of My Presence. 'Fix your gaze on what is unseen', even as the visible world parades before your eyes." -- Jesus Calling, Sarah Young (December 7) Matthew 10:29-31; Hebrews 11:27; 2 Corinthians 4:18
Matthew 10:29-31 "For only a penny you can buy two sparrows, yet not one sparrow falls to the ground without your Father's consent. And for you, even the hairs of your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth much more than many sparrows!"
Hebrews 11:27 "It was faith that made Moses leave Egypt without being afraid of the king's anger. As though he saw the invisible God, he refused to turn back."
2 Corinthians 4:18 "For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever."

When People Feel They Have the Right to Control Others
I'm dealing a lot with this right now in my personal life. So I looked up what Jesus had to say on the subject. So far, what I found was when He addressed the Pharisees in Mark 7 about how they manipulate people with their man-made laws by making it sound like those laws are God's.
(They are talking about what is explained in Mark 7:3) "For the Pharisees, as well as the rest of the Jews, follow the teaching they received from their ancestors: they do not eat unless they wash their hands in the proper way;"
Mark 7:5 (GNT) So the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law asked Jesus, "Why is it that Your disciples do not follow the teaching handed down by our ancestors, but instead eat with ritually unclean hands?"
Mark 7:6-7 (GNT) Jesus answered them, "How right Isaiah was when he prophesied about you! You are hypocrites, just as he wrote: 'These people, says God, honor Me with their words, but their heart is really far away from Me. It is no use for them to worship Me, because they teach man-made rules as though they were My laws!'
Mark 7:8-9 (GNT) "You put aside God's command and obey the teachings of men." And Jesus continued, "You have a clever way of rejecting God's law in order to uphold your own teaching."
So there, you control freaks! Take that!

Say "Jesus Loves Me" Every Day
Tonight, Pastor Philip told the story he got from a book that told about a Pastor Pierce in Britain in the 19th century who was approached one day after his sermon by a little girl who said, "Mr. Pierce, I cannot love Jesus but I want to love Jesus. How do I love Jesus?"
Pastor Pierce told the child to, all week, every day, say to herself, "Jesus loves me. Jesus loves me..." So she did and a week later she came back and said, "Pastor Pierce! I love Jesus!"
"We love Him because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19 (King James version)
"Jesus is seeking you! When the call comes don't harden your heart. Put your faith in Jesus" Philip De Courcy
Pastor Philip De Courcy speaks on his show "Know the Truth" every night on KDAR.COM at 9:30 PM (Pacific Time) I look forward to his and other sermons on this station every night! Philip De Courcy's site is ktt.org

Get The Specific Signs from God That Came With 9-11
There is so much posted about 9-11 and very understandably so. But there is one vital point that noone's seem to touch on. The book The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn gives specific points that indicate it may also have warnings from God. All these specific warning signs happened with 9-11 in the exact same order that the same elements occurred to the Israelites as desribed in Isaiah beginning with Isaiah 9:10 when the Israelites rebelled against God, determined to build up on their own without Him. In short, I say this: This country we live in, America, that in its inception was dedicated to God, better turn back to God. THE MORE WE TURN AWAY FROM GOD, THE MORE VULNERABLE WE BECOME TO DANGER, TO ATTACKS FROM EVIL INTENTIONS IN THIS WORLD. The Bible says, "If God be for us, who be against us." If we are not seeking God and want to fight our battles alone, than we will fight our battles ALONE. And God help us then! Watch this video....

Practice Seeing Trouble as Blessings In Disguise, Trusting Me at All Times
Let's do it! In Sarah Young's book, Jesus Calling, for August 15 she writes:
"Do not let unexpected problems distract you from My Presence (Jesus). Instead, talk with Me about everything, and watch confidently to see what I will do....try to view difficulties as blessings in disguise. Make Me your Refuge by pouring out your heart to Me, trusting in Me at all times.
Psalm 35:17-19 (GNT) "Morning, noon, and night my complaints and groans go up to Him, and He will hear my voice. He will bring me safely back from the battles that I fight against so many enemies. God, who has ruled from eternity, will hear me and defeat them; for they refuse to change, and they do not fear Him."
Psalm 32:6 -8 (GNT) "So all Your loyal people should pray to You in times of need; when a great flood of trouble comes rushing in, it will not reach them. You are my hiding place; You will save me from trouble. I sing aloud of Your salvation, because You protect me. The Lord says, 'I will teach you the way you should go; I will instruct you and advise you."
Psalm 62:8 "Trust in God at all times, my people. Tell Him all your troubles, for He is our refuge."

The Song In Her Heart blogspot - Must Read!
In her blog, "The Song In Her Heart", I love how Mary Krampach puts this:
Hidden in the 60s song "Time of the Season" by the Zombies we hear the Father's sovereign call to intimacy, to relationship. We also hear the call to learn of our new identity and how to walk in it. And we actually hear this in the right order, the order that brings life. I find that completely amazing..
To show you every one It's the time of the season for loving

No One Will Be Able to Defeat You -- I Will Be With You Always
Joshua 1:5 (GNT) "Joshua, no one will be able to defeat you as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will always be with you; I will never abandon you."
I praise God for this promise! I praise you, Jesus!

The Parable of the Gold Coins - Jesus tells His disciples....
I read the Parable of the Gold Coins (in Luke 19:11) and did not understand it so I did a quick search and found this interesting blog on it. The parable deals with our stewardship to God. Our use of the gifts God gives us...

Be Saved By Jesus Christ - please share with everyone you know and may they be open to His love
Dear friends, the most important thing we can do in our life is give it to Jesus Christ and receive Eternal Life in Heaven with Him, with God. God sent His only Son to die for us because we ourselves cannot redeem ourselves with God. So His Son took the punishment of death for us so that we may live forever.
Please, I urge you, to pray the below prayer, if you have not already done so, and tell others to do the same. It is only through our faith in Jesus Christ,"Yeshua" in Hebrew (means "safety"), that we are saved to live eternally.
The sinner's prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life (and live within me) and help me to do your will.
In your name, (Lord Jesus), Amen.”

Rest In the Stillness of My Presence
"REST IN THE STILLNESS of My Presence while I prepare you for this day. Let the radiance of My Glory shine upon you, as you wait on Me in confident trust. 'Be still and know that I am God.' There is both a passive and an active side to trusting Me. As you rest in My Presence, focusing on Me, I quietly build bonds of trust between us. When you respond to the circumstances of your life with affirmations of trust, you actively participate in this process.
I am always with you, so you have no reason to be afraid. Your fear often manifests itself in excessive planning. Your mind is so accustomed to this pattern of thinking that you are only now becoming aware of how pervasive it is and how much it hinders your intimacy with Me. Repent of this tendency and resist it, whenever you realize you are wandering down this well-worn path. Return to My Presence, which always awaits you in the present moment. I accept you back with 'no condemnation'.

I Had A Vision of Jesus
"But God's Mercy is so abundant, and His Love for us is so great." (Ephesians 2:4 GNT)
This speaks so much to me. I had a vision Saturday night, if I may call it that, that confounded me.
In worship at Mercy Chapel. The words of the song brought this to mind and I felt it. Just picture this: you are on the ground under the weight of a big cross you're trying to hold up. This cross is all of your sins, everything you did wrong against someone else and to yourself - and above all, to God. It's all your guilts, your faults, your hurtful ways, your lusts and greeds, your resentments, jealousies, judgments against others, your prejudices, your shames, everything bad about you. It's all there and you have to carry it for miles and you can't even get up; it's so heavy.
Then you see Jesus coming to you. He crouches down to your level. He is so gentle, almost meek (for lack of a better word), in His approach to you. He's saying, "May I help you with this? Please let me help you." And only with your permission - He doesn't help you carry it - He takes it from you completely and carries it Himself (which is to the destination of torture, mutilation and death -- your punishment, your death He is going to take for you and then throw it all away, for you.
It just confounded me His gentleness as He came to me. There was no judgment or anger or authoritativeness or admonishment or demonstration of His Omnipotent Power in this moment - all of which He truly has but I did not feel from Him in this single moment. He was just so gentle and loving. It was like someone handling a new-born baby. So gentle and endearing. Have you ever thought of Jesus in just this way?

I Am With You (the reassurance of My Presence)
"I AM WITH YOU. These four words are like a safety net, protecting you form falling into despair. Because you are human, you will always have ups and downs in your life experience. But the promise of My Presence limits how far down you can go. Sometimes you may feel as if you are in a free fall, when people or things you have counted on let you down. Yet as soon as you remember that I AM WITH YOU, your perspective changes radically. Instead of bemoaning your circumstances, you can LOOK TO ME FOR HELP. You recall that not only am I with you, I am holding you by your right hand. I guide you with My counsel, and afterward I will take you into Glory. This is exactly the perspective you need: the reassurance of My Presence, and the glorious hope of heaven."

This Is My Beloved Son
This is my beloved son
“When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying,” This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Matthew 3:16–17This image is very different. Not a flaming sun of intolerable brightness, but a soft, quiet, vulnerable dove - the kind of animal poor people offered for sacrifices in the temple. God’s pleasure in his Son comes not only from the brightness of his majesty but from the beauty of his meekness. The Father delights in his Son’s supremacy and in his servant hood. “The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand” John
3:35. “Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights” Isaiah 42:1
The Father’s very soul exults with joy over the servant-like meekness and compassion of his Son. The Father cries, “Behold, my Servant in whom my soul delights!”
One of the sermons of Jonathan Edwards that God used to kindle the Great Awakening in New England in 1734–1735 was titled “The Excellency of Christ.” In it Edwards unfolds the glory of God’s Son by describing the “admirable conjunction of diverse excellencies in Christ.” His text is Revelation 5:5–6, and he unfolds the union of “diverse excellencies” in the Lion-Lamb. He shows how the glory of Christ is his combining of attributes that would seem to be utterly incompatible in one Person. In Jesus Christ, he says, meet infinite highness and infinite condescension; infinite justice and infinite grace; infinite glory and lowest humility; infinite majesty and transcendent meekness; deepest reverence toward God and equality with God; worthiness of good and the greatest
Patience under the suffering of evil; a great spirit of obedience and supreme dominion over heaven and earth; absolute sovereignty and perfect resignation; self-sufficiency and an entire trust and reliance on God.”
God calls us to love and admire the Son as He loves and admires His only Son. When we do, we bring delight to the Father and glory to the Son.

Man Must Put God First
MAN MUST PUT GOD FIRST! And why don't we?! He made us! He gave us life! Our very existence! The world we live in! Our families! Our children! All we need to survive and the Blessings in our lives! And Eternal Life! A relationship with HIM - the CREATOR OF ALL, the GREAT I AM. Think about it!!! If we don't put God first in our lives, it leads to destruction and death. Think about it. The state of mind of the world today. The devastations that are happening. Yes, the planet is changing too and these are natural causes. But Who made nature? Certainly not us! I'm reading the Book of Jeremiah and it was time when God's people turned from Him a lot and they paid for it - a lot. From attacks from other nations, in their cases. Not to diminish everything I just posted about the FORGIVENESS OF SINS. THAT ALWAYS HOLDS TRUE. But to completely turn from God, ignore Him, to not think we are sinning and not repent it (as I once did)...It makes ya think. That's enough from "Pastor Me" :) -- -- And God says put God first. ('Thall Shalt Have No Other God But Me') God's first commandment

Christ By His Precious Blood Does Actually Put Away Sin
"The grandest fact under heaven is this - that Christ by His precious blood does actually put away sin, and that God, for Christ's sake, dealing with men on terms of divine grace, forgives the guilty and justifies them, not according to anything that He sees in them, but according to the riches of His mercy which lie in His own heart. "It is God who justifies the ungodly”; He is not ashamed of doing it. We should never tire of proclaiming it. We should not be ashamed to receive it. " by Pastor Rex
Do You Believe in the Forgiveness of Sins?
(from Pastor Rex Holt)
“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” - Romans 8:34
"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men” (Matt 12:31)
I believe in the forgiveness of sins, do you? You may be steeped up to the neck in every form of sin and evil. With one word He can make you clean and remove all defilement from your life.
Before trusting in Christ I was plagued with doubts and fears about my present and future. I felt the sting of condemnation and the shame of hypocrisy. I wondered if a person could ever know for sure that he was forgiven, clean and free from condemnation. But one wonderful autumn night, I heard with my heart the call of the gospel, “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved”. I knew it was for me. Christ died for my sins. He was buried and rose again on the third day for my justification. I placed my trust in Christ for salvation. I received Him as Lord of my life. It was a seed moment for me. All my future was packed into that moment. I enjoyed such a peace as I had never known. I knew instantly that I was forgiven, clean to the core, and accepted by the Father. I felt as sure of my forgiveness and acceptance as I previously felt of my shame and guilt. I was free and I knew it.
I look forward to seeing you this evening at Mercy Chapel. We start refreshments and fellowship at 5:30 with Worship and the Word at 6:00pm. We will continue our study of Ephesians. This Saturday the passage is Ephesians 2:8-10 and entitled, "Where is boasting?". The children are studying the quality of "Gratefulness"
"Saturday evenings" would be a great time to bring friends and family and neighbors who need Christ. Let's be bold in sharing the good news of this wondrous gospel of Grace. http://nextgenministry.us/?portfolio=mercy-chapel (Not around these parts? Listen to his sermons here, too, from anywhere!)

When Things Don't Go As You Would Like
"WHEN THINGS DON'T GO as you would like, accept the situation immediately. If you indulge in feelings of regret, they can easily spill over the line into resentment. Remember that I AM SOVEREIGN OVER YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES, and humble yourself under My mighty hand. Rejoice in what I am doing in your life, even though it is beyond your understanding. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In Me you have Everything you need, both for this life and for the life yet to come. Don' t let the impact of the world shatter your thinking or draw you away from focusing on Me. The ultimate challenge is to keep fixing your eyes on Me, no matter what is going on around you. When I am central in your thinking, you are able to view circumstances from My perspective." (Sarah Young's "Jesus Calling" book - May 22)

I Am Able To Do Far Beyond All That You Ask
(from Jesus Calling book by Sarah Young)
"I AM ABLE to do far beyond all that you ask or imagine. Come to Me with positive expectations, knowing that there is no limit to what I can accomplish. Ask My Spirit to control your mind, so that you can think great thoughts of Me. Do not be discouraged by the fact that many of your prayers are yet unanswered. Time is a trainer, teaching you to wait upon Me, to trust Me in the dark. The more extreme your circumstances, the more likely you are to see My Power and Glory at work in the situation. Instead of letting difficulties draw you into worrying, try to view them as setting the scene for My glorious intervention. Keep your eyes and your mind wide open to all that I am doing in your life."
Wow, I just noticed that. To view our troubling situations as "setting the scene for God's intervention".
References 3 scriptures:
Ephesians 3:20-21 (GNT) "To Him who by means of His power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of: to God be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever! Amen."
Romans 8:6 (GNT) "To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace."
Isaiah 40:30-31 (GNT) "Even those who are young grow weak; young men can fall exhausted. But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak."
Revelation 5:13 (GNT) "And I heard every creature in Heaven, on earth, in the world below, and in the sea - all living beings in the universe - and they were singing: 'To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be praise and honor, glory and might, forever and ever!"
